- Breeding- (flushing): Beginning 3 weeks before breeding season, feed at a rate of 0.75 to 1.0% bodyweight and continue feeding for a 6 week period.
- Gestation: Feed at a daily rate of 0.75 to 1.0% of bodyweight the final 50 to 60 days of pregnancy. If flock has shown a tendency for pregnancy toxemia in the past, increase feeding level to 1.25 to 1.5% bodyweight per day the final 30 days of pregnancy. Provide Paymaster® Sheep & Goat Mineral or ACCO Supercharged® Caprine Mineral (goats only) free choice to all bred females.
- Lactation: Feed at a daily rate of 1.25 to 1.5% bodyweight first 60 to 76 days of lactation. Provide Paymaster® Sheep & Goat Mineral or ACCO Supercharged® Caprine Mineral (Goats only) free choice to lactating females.
- Developing females: Feed to weaned animals at a daily rate of 1.5 to 2.0% of bodyweight depending on forage supply & quality. Provide Paymaster® Sheep & Goat Mineral free choice.
- Developing males: Feed at daily rate of 1.5% bodyweight.
- Breeding rams and bucks: Feed at daily rate of 1.0% bodyweight
- Muttons: Feed at daily rate of approx. 0.5% bodyweight.
