The value of ingredients varies from supplier to supplier.
 No two suppliers make exactly the same ingredient. In order to provide
consistent nutrient value and quality in every feed, we’ve developed the
Optimum Value Formulation System. Through this proprietary process, our
formulation professionals can better understand and manage ingredient variability
to deliver a nutrient package of consistent quality feed that is always better
matched to the unique needs of each species at each stage of the life cycle.

We know our suppliers better than they know themselves.
 ACCO Feeds is focused on providing precisely formulated feeds that deliver consistent
nutrition every time they are fed. To that end, we:
- Take extensive samples from every supplier’s plant
- Track key indicator nutrients in every ingredient in our Optimum Value Supplier (OVS) Database containing more than 70,000 samples from 1,700 supplier plants covering more than 200 ingredients
- Develop a fingerprint of ingredient variation for each plant over time
- Share this information with each of our feed formulation teams
- Convert this indicator nutrient information using our AutoCalcTM system

In vitro digestibility analysis.
 Understanding nutrients goes well beyond simple protein, fat and fiber
levels. We conduct in vitro studies that simulate the digestive processes of
animals yielding more detailed ingredient information than direct animal studies
can provide. No other feed company in the industry can do this!
We discover how nutrients from ingredients are actually utilized
inside an animal within 72 hours and that helps us
consistently match ingredient quality in every feed to the requirements
and unique biology of each species.

Why "fixed" formulation is not a good thing.
Unfortunately, the nutritional value of these ingredients can vary
dramatically. At best, those variations lead to nutritional inconsistency
and decreased performance for your animal. At worst, variations can throw an
animal off feed and that’s a recipe for danger.
